I've got dyslexia and was constantly told throughout my childhood that I'm stupid. I cried a lot back then and felt humiliated. Well, it didn't prevent me from getting a degree, learning a foreign language and moving to another country (but, let's face it, later on I needed quite a lot of psychotherapy to recover from that trauma). Yeah, I need to work harder than the people around me, but I learned to work harder and not give up. Currently, I can even combine a full-time job and an art side hustle and feel more successful and fulfilled than most of my neurotypical classmates!

What annoys me the most is that’s almost every Aldi in Scotland has a plastic bottle recycling bank that would give you money back for every bottle being recycled but the Scottish government scrapped the idea last minute so now there just gathering dust.

Also the best teachers are the ones who believe in their students and let them know that they believe in them. Don't have kids you can't afford. Don't have kids unless you're married/seriously committed to a partner you've been with for 4+ years. Finish GCSE and then go into FE and then HE or training on the job etc. Don't do crime. Live within your means including saving every month. You don't need to smoke or vape, you don't need alcohol or eating out, you don't need scratch cards, gambling, branded products, new clothes, etc. All the sob stories about poverty are incomplete where none are sharing their incomings and outgoings, and it all seems to come down to lifestyle choices in most cases. Sorry, not sorry. I worked very hard for my HE, savings, and made smart choices within the choices I had as someone from a working-class mostly single mother.

I said 20 years ago! When i come back from fighting a war overseas. That society is only going to get worse. I don't think much of the police because they were standing mocking me when I was in crisis and had hung myself from a tree. On another occasion when I made an attempt on my life! The police said that they had better things to be doing then trying to get me down from a bridge. There help was me being arrested and given a £250 fine! They said they could help me when I was in crisis and get me help i needed. My help was being mocked and a fine! I am a disabled army veteran with PTSD and TBI - Brain injury, due to active service. I was only on £50per week and spent all that drinking to cope with my Combat PTSD. When i see police officers whering a poppy on remembrance Day it makes me sad! Because they don't have time me.
